In film, location scouts travel to find the right place to shoot a story. Scion flips that. We scout places to learn how they make their placeness: the galleries, renovations, community gardens, and public projects that people planned specifically to make a place feel like itself. We meet the planners. We shop the farmers market. We try the coffee.
You can't understand a place from inside it. Every scout expands our frame of reference and deepens our understanding of how our hometown fits into the larger world.
Lisa demonstrates embodied practice while on location, something she has done for years with her beloved DMB Fit Crew, a program of Scion. Members train together virtually for months, then come together in locations around the world to channel the energy of action into charitable work.
